Sticky Notes
When to use:
- to encourage students to make connections as they read
- as a reading log
- scaffolding with students who need extra support
How to use:
1. Students are given a "stack" of sticky notes.
2. Teacher instructs students to summarize, question, jot down thoughts or ideas as they are reading.
3. There is no right or wrong way to do it as long as the student is interacting with the text. Teacher can guide students, for
example, "look for imagery".
4. Sticky notes can be removes and saved in a folder to study later.
