Give One Get One
When to use:
- brainstorming session
- scaffolding with students who need extra support
How to use:
1. Students are asked to brainstorm everything & anything that comes to mind about the topic independently (give time
limit).
2. After each student has brainstormed a personal list, the class you make a "class list".
3. Go around the class, each student will add one word from their personal list to the "class list".
4. Students are to keep track of the words from their personal list that are added by themselves or others and add words to
their list that they do not have that other students give.
5. Students continue to share & mark off words until they are "out" of words to share.
6. The last student with words to share "wins".
