When to use:
- teaches students to become aware of where to find the answers to questions
- scaffolding with students who need extra support
How to use:
1. Students read the questions first.
2. Students predict how to answer the question.
3. Read the text--individually or as a whole class.
4. Students answer questions.
5. Students share answers & explain whether the answer was "in the book" or "in the head".
